Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre opened on Monday 24 January 2022 with spectacular new facilities. Comprising of two swimming pools, sauna, sports hall, state-of-the-art gym, immersive spin studio, fitness studios, soft play, wellness suite and more. Our facilities also cater for disabled access.

Online bookings are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Members will be charged for bookings cancelled within a 48 hour period of the booking start time.

The new facility boasts a 25 metre, eight-lane swimming pool (25m x 17m) and a teaching pool (16.6m x 7m) with spectator provision. The pools can accommodate an array of swimming activities including public swimming sessions, swimming lessons, disability sessions and galas. Both pools are easily accessible via steps, a pool pod or manual hoist.

We offer a range of swimming lessons/sessions for all ages and abilities, from parent and toddler sessions through to pre-school, junior and adult. These take place throughout the year in the safe environment of the main pool and teaching pool. All instructors are qualified and experienced swimming teachers who constantly encourage, help and support all swimmers.
The centre has a 4-court Sports hall for badminton, five-a-side and netball. The facilities can be hired for casual or club bookings for any age group.
Our brand new Wellness/toning suite encompasses power assisted exercise technology. It provides a ‘helping hand’ in a low impact, full-body workout circuit for exercisers who demand to work smart and effectively.
The equipment attracts older adults and those living with long term health conditions. It is safe for all age groups and abilities as users do not need to provide the motive force to overcome inertia. There are no weight stacks to control, just safe and effective power assisted technology.

A number of clubs meet at our centres on a weekly basis offering additional activities outside of those offered by our centres including badminton, Black Country Shotokan and Ren Shin Kan Iaido.
