Would you like to be a Block Champion? Do you have a passion for your community?

Block Champions help us make sure high-rise buildings are clean, safe, and well looked after.

They do this by carrying out a short check of their building each month and telling us what is working well and what could be improved.

By sharing their feedback, tenants and leaseholders help us understand how our services are performing and where changes may be needed.

What does a Block Champion do?

  • Walk around their high-rise building once a month
  • Complete a simple checklist
  • Send the checklist using Microsoft Forms or hand in a paper copy to their local Housing Hub

What is checked?

The checklist looks at four main areas:

  • Grounds maintenance
  • Estate assistants
  • Cleaning
  • Fire safety / assets

Why is this important?

The feedback is collected each month and shared with service managers. This helps us spot any common issues and make improvements where needed.

Optional meetings

There is an optional meeting every 6 months where Block Champions can:

  • Meet other Block Champions
  • Share ideas and experiences
  • Talk about the Block Champion role
  • Discuss any issues about living in a high-rise building

Time commitment

  • Around 30 minutes each month to complete the building check
  • Optional 2 hour meeting every 6 months
