Amber heat health alert 8-12 July

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued an Amber Heat Health Alert for all regions in England, from 9am on Wednesday 8 July until 9pm on Sunday 12 July. Rising temperatures may increase health risks, particularly for vulnerable groups. There are nearly 3 million accidents at home each year where someone visits an accident and emergency department for treatment. In addition, there are a similar number of cases where someone is treated by a general practitioner as well as the millions of minor cases which are treated at home. Every year there are over 3,000 deaths in the UK due to accidents at home.
