If you are a Dudley Council tenant or leaseholder, you can find information about the policy, including the terms and conditions of cover and your rights as a policyholder, below.

Applying for Contents Insurance

Before applying, the insurer recommends that you keep a record of all information and correspondence provided in relation to your insurance application for future reference.

If you choose to apply for the policy by telephone or online, a Statement of Fact will be included with your confirmation documents. Please check this carefully to ensure all the information provided is accurate.

When Your Cover Starts

You will then receive a Certificate of Insurance and the Policy Wording which will confirm:

• Your sum insured
• The premium payable
• The policy start date

Choosing the Correct Sum Insured

It is important that the sum insured you select is sufficient to cover the full cost of replacing all your contents and personal belongings as new. If the sum insured is too low, you may not receive enough compensation to replace your possessions in the event of a claim.
