Under the local authority ( Referendums/ Petitions / England ) Regulations 2011, the council shall publish the number that is equal to 5% of the local government electors in the Electoral Register, in force on 15 February each year.
These regulations provide for the holding of a referendum on whatever Dudley Council should arrange to a different form of governance when at least 5% of the local government electors sign a petition.
